CSI Programme

Pink Ribbon Breast Screening Centre is passionate about sharing the importance of regular breast screening after the age of 40. We therefore created the following programmes that will help us reach out to women in society that do not have access to breast screening.

support

Realising the importance of breast screening and the backlog in the public sector we have created the 1+1 support programme. For every screening done, a patient can nominate a women that does not have a Medical Aid or access to screening to have a free Mammogram done at the Pink Ribbon Breast Screening Centre. Pink Ribbon Breast Screening Centre will approve the candidate prior to screening. *

teach

Pink Ribbon visits schools around the country to make girls aware of the importance of breast screening. Even though breast screening is only recommended for women over the age of 40, it is important to share information and preventative knowledge with them. They will be encouraged to share the information with their families to ensure all women are aware of the importance of breast screening. *

community

Women in communities do not always get the opportunity to learn about the importance of breast screening and the warning symptoms of breast issues. As part of our CSI, Pink Ribbon endeavours to educate as many women as possible. The main purpose of this programme is teach women the importance of self breast examinations and to look out for signs and symptoms of breast problems. *
